CNC Turning
Turning is a manner in which metal is processed in which a cutting tool, usually a non-rotating tool bit, follows a spiral path, moving more or less in a linear manner while the processed object is moving. Axis can be straight line or a set of curves and angles.
When using the term “turning” we usually mean machining of external edges, even though a modern CNC is capable of performing similar operations, such as drilling or milling.
A traditional form of such processing consists in using a conventional lathe, which usually has to be constantly supervised by an operator. Along with the development of automatization, machines of such type have been developed into numerically controlled machines.

MILLING
Milling is the machining process of using rotary cutters to remove material from a workpiece by advancing (or feeding) in a direction at an angle with the axis of the tool. It covers a wide variety of different operations. It is one of the most commonly used processes in industry and machine shops today for machining parts to precise sizes and shapes. Nowadays CNC milling is most commonly used. Thanks to this technology, it is possible to produce details of precise size and shape. Very often a program is created on a computer by means of 3D models and then used on a machine. This enables to avoid human errors and process material more effectively in shorter time.
